Fire Bases in the Dak To Area
As I poke around the internet, I see photos and references to fire bases in the Dak To Area. I want to capture these images for history. I'll add photos to this page as I find them. They'll be in no particular order.

Gerard Simoneauit was actually March 31, 71. Chickenman 38, aka Mike Jett, and 6 aka Major Adams who extracted Thacker 6 days later. I was lined up to resupply that day when three aircraft in front of me got hit. Two of them were shot down Roger Reid was killed. 6 became my tour life blood. I was the first ac back into 6 on the reinsertion about 8 days later getting hit. Rocket Ridge became my daily mission.

I spent a lot of time resupplying Dak to in 1967, probably resupplied FB6, if it was there. Moved a few artillery pieces with CH47. ALMOST had mid-air collision with a fixed wing aircraft around the air strip in DAK TO.

Was on fb6 gun 6....me and my twin brother.

I was in Tann Cahn when they were trying to overrun FB 6. In 70 we could see the action from our position and the FDC WE HAD was directing arty fire. Then about six miles out from the firebase they dropped a daisy cutter and that settled the argument.
